Important Update for Kind iVF Patients at London Women’s Clinic Eastbourne and Brighton

All of our blog posts are written, edited, or produced by the Kind iVF Content Team. This is a collaboration between our expert writers, health editors, and the leading researchers and senior doctors at our clinics across the UK.

As part of London Women’s Clinic’s (LWC) commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care, we are making a change to where some of our clinical services are delivered.

From summer 2025, all embryos, eggs and sperm currently stored at our licensed Eastbourne site will be safely and securely transferred to our state-of-the-art cryo-repository at LWC Bromley. This change is part of a wider consolidation of embryology and laboratory services to ensure patients continue to benefit from the best possible facilities and expertise.

LWC Bromley is fully licensed by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), and all samples will be managed and transferred by our experienced team, in line with strict regulatory and safety protocols.

Key Information for Patients

  • You do not need to take any action if you are happy for your stored material to be moved to LWC Bromley.
  • There is no cost to you for this transfer.
  • Your embryos, eggs or sperm will remain securely stored in a fully licensed and monitored environment.
  • If you wish to undergo treatment using your stored material, this will now take place at LWC Bromley.
  • If Bromley is not feasible, you may request to transfer your samples to another LWC site in Harley Street, Cardiff or Darlington, also at no cost.
  • If you prefer to transfer your samples to a non-LWC fertility clinic, we will fully support this process. Please note that courier charges to external providers will be your responsibility, as is standard practice.
  • As an acknowledgement of this change, we are offering 12 months of free storage at our Bromley and Harley Street clinics.

LWC Eastbourne will continue to operate as a satellite centre, offering consultations and ultrasound scans. However, theatre-based procedures such as egg collection, embryo transfer, sperm freezing and semen analysis will now take place at Bromley or Harley Street.

Deadline for Requests

If you would like to transfer your stored embryos, eggs or sperm to a different fertility provider, please complete and return the form included with your letter by 31 July 2025. Otherwise you do not need to taken any action.
