What is Egg Freezing?
Egg Freezing is a proactive way to preserve your fertility by collecting and storing your eggs for future use. It puts you back in control, letting you plan on your own timeline.
Egg freezing is generally grouped into two types, depending on the reason for preserving fertility: elective and medical.
- Elective egg freezing: life circumstances or age considerations
- Medical egg freezing: ahead of treatment or a diagnosis that may affect future fertility including gender affirmation
Getting to know your fertility
We start with bloods, a scan, and a conversation, so that we understand your fertility, and so you understand it too. From there, your specialist builds a plan that's shaped around you, not a standard template.
Your egg freezing cycle
A short course of medication encourages your ovaries to produce more eggs than they would in a normal month.
You'll come in for a handful of scans while that happens, then for the collection itself — a same-day procedure under sedation, so you're comfortable throughout. Within hours, your eggs are frozen at exactly the quality they were collected at.

What happens next:
Your eggs stay in secure storage until you need them - next year, or in ten years' time. When you're ready, we thaw them.
None of this uses up fertility you'd otherwise have kept. The eggs collected in a cycle are ones your body was going to release that month regardless, freezing just means they're not lost.

Are you eligible for Kind Egg Freezing?
Kind Egg Freezing follows the same eligibility criteria as Kind iVF:

Under 37 years old
To be eligible, you must begin your treatment medications before your 37th birthday, as this gives the best chance of a smooth treatment journey.

A BMI of 30 or less
To be eligible, we ask that your BMI is 30 or less.

A good ovarian reserve
Assessed with initial fertility tests including ultrasound scan and AMH blood tests. Your fertility specialist will confirm your suitability at your Fertility Health Assessment.

FAQs about Egg Freezing
In the UK, you can store your eggs for up to 55 years, but you’ll need to renew your consent every 10 years to keep them stored.
When it comes to using your frozen eggs to have a baby, you will need to pay for the thaw and ICSI cycle with the clinic. The cost of this is not the same as a full IVF cycle as you already have eggs in storage, however the cost of the later transfer is not included in the Egg Freezing package.
Whenever you're ready — in two years or in ten — we'll guide you through thawing, fertilisation and transfer. Your frozen eggs stay safely stored until you need them. Your eggs are thawed and fertilised with partner or donor sperm using ICSI — the same process as a standard ICSI cycle, with the added step of thawing.
After a Fertility Health Assessment and consultation, you'll take a short course of stimulation medication with monitoring scans, followed by an egg collection procedure under sedation. Your eggs are then vitrified (flash-frozen) and placed into storage.
No. Egg freezing does not reduce your natural fertility — it simply preserves eggs that would otherwise be lost that month, giving you more options for the future.
