London Egg Bank (LEB) is our trusted sister egg bank, licensed and regulated by the HFEA, the UK's fertility regulator. After your egg collection, your donated eggs are stored safely until they are matched with a recipient at an HFEA-licensed clinic. Every step follows strict UK standards, so you can feel confident your donation is handled with the same care you receive from Kind iVF.

The foundations of Freeze and Share were laid more than 30 years ago, with research into egg sharing beginning in the 1990s. Since then, studies published in international medical journals have explored outcomes for both people taking part in the programme and those receiving donated eggs.

This research has shown that taking part in Freeze and Share does not compromise outcomes for the person freezing their eggs or the person receiving donated eggs. Alongside decades of experience in fertility care, this evidence continues to shape the Freeze & share programme we offer today.

When you’re ready to use your eggs, we’ll guide you through the next steps, including thawing, fertilisation and embryo transfer. Your eggs will remain safely stored until you decide you’re ready to use them.

In the UK, eggs can be stored for up to 55 years, but you’ll need to renew your consent every 10 years to keep them stored.

There isn’t a set number of eggs that can guarantee a pregnancy or baby in the future, and everyone’s situation is different. The number of eggs you may want to freeze depends on factors including your age and fertility health.

Your fertility health assessment will give us a better understanding of your ovarian reserve, and our team can talk you through what your results may mean for you.

If you change your mind, you can withdraw your consent at any point. If you decide not to continue with the donation side of the programme after your egg collection, you may be able to keep your eggs for your own future use, subject to paying the standard treatment and storage cost.

Our team will only recommend Freeze & share if our assessment suggests you have a good chance of producing enough eggs for your own use and donation. We’ll talk you through your results and what they mean for you.

Through our connection with London Women’s Clinic, Kind patients have access to the same experienced fertility teams, specialist laboratories and modern storage facility. Our teams care for both egg sharers and recipients, with secure facilities for the long-term storage of eggs and resulting embryos.

No. Egg donation in the UK is ID-release, which means your identity isn’t shared with the recipient family. However, a child born from your donation can request identifying information about you when they turn 18.

You won’t have parental or financial responsibilities towards any child born from your donation. The recipient parent or parents are the child’s legal parents.

Not exactly. Freeze & share is a fertility preservation programme first, as you’re freezing your own eggs for future use. Donating half of the eggs collected during your treatment is what allows us to offer the programme at no treatment cost to you, while your own preservation is the focus.
