Jackie Biro

Jackie Biro is an experienced Fertility Nurse and Nurse Manager at LWC Darlington, where she also serves as the PR to the HFEA. With over 14 years’ experience in fertility care, Jackie is known for her compassionate approach and dedication to patient wellbeing.

Throughout her career, she has been committed to providing a reassuring and positive environment, helping to ease patient anxieties and support them through one of the most emotional journeys of their lives. She finds joy in getting to know each individual and couple, recognising that every fertility journey is unique.

Jackie is passionate about staying at the forefront of this ever-evolving field, and she finds deep fulfilment in the continuous learning it offers. For her, the most rewarding part of the role is celebrating the successes – witnessing “little miracles” arrive and knowing she’s helped to change lives forever.

With countless meaningful moments to choose from, one memory that still brings a smile is a light-hearted encounter with a sedated patient who mistook a colleague for Sharon Stone – a moment of humour she still fondly recalls.
