Suraya Shabnam

With over 13 years of experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, she brings both clinical precision and heartfelt compassion to her role as a Sonographer at London Women’s Clinic. She holds an MBBS, a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a Diploma in Women’s Health from Ireland. Her passion for fertility care stems from a deep desire to help people fulfil their dreams of building a family. For many patients, she understands this may be their last hope — and she finds it both humbling and rewarding to play a part in that journey.

She loves the unique combination of technical expertise and emotional support her role requires — using real-time ultrasound imaging to guide treatment and offer clarity, reassurance, and hope. One of her most cherished patient memories is of a couple who had struggled through multiple IVF cycles. During what they believed would be their final attempt, she performed a scan that revealed a 6-week pregnancy with a strong heartbeat. Witnessing the couple’s silent, joyful disbelief before she even spoke was a moment she will never forget — a powerful reminder of why she does what she does.
